 GENERAL ACTIVITIES

- Ongoing professional support to the local partners.
- Three-day training for a new group of youth facilitators organized (for running intercultural workshops with high school students and based on the 'Living together' intercultural education handbook).
- The first evaluation and planning meeting for this project year with all of the partners realized in March in Vrnjacka Banja.
- Regular partner meeting will be held in November on Zlatibor mountain with the aim to assess this year's results, plan the year 2007 and exchange with the partner project "Multiplication - tolerant living" (realizing in Vojvodina).

Child rights centre has signed (on behalf of all of the partners) a contract with GTZ for the project  'Conflict Transformation and Youth Empowerment'. As an integral part of the activities planned the local partners' representatives have already completed a training for workshop facilitators on peer-mediation.

NATIONAL YOUTH NETWORK ACTIVITIES

As a result of the preparatory activities for establishement of network info service, a concept for the electronic newslatter 'KURSOS' is developed. The first issue is published in May and the second in September.

LOCAL LEVEL ACTIVITIES

Intercultural workshops

Out of 9 towns included into the project, a cycles of intercultural workshops was realized with new groups of participants in seven, while still last in other two towns.

Other workshops

- In all 9 cities included in the project there are series of workshops for peer mediators with new participants. During November it is planned to organize local actions to promote trained peer mediators.
- Ethno-art workshop realized in Nis (making ethno jewelry)

Local youth club activities

- Uzice – additional capacity building training provided for the club members as a part of the linking project "Youth Lens"; the first local campaign was realized in June under the slogan "Where else?" with the aim to make pressure to the local authorities regarding obtaining space for children and youth activities).
- Kraljevo – 20 TV shows designed and broadcasted within the "Blue Shadow" serial; the first local campaign in form of masked ball was realized in June and the aim was to promote youth activism and TV show; during summer Club members joined the action realized in cooperation with local NGO "Kvart" with the aim to promote cultural creative work of the youth.
- Zajecar – the first local campaign in form of masked ball was realized in April and the aim was to promote tolerance between different races; during summer Club members actively participated in the "Gitarijada" rock music festival and the "Zajecar Cultural Summer" manifestation.

- Nis – ethno-art exhibition realized,

multimedia presentation of Switzerland made,

2 radio shows designed; Club members joined the realization of the "open Doors" project with the aim to promote child rights.
- Novi Pazar – the first local campaign realized in March in a cooperation with local partner organization and with the aim to promote gender equality; the second campaign was in May and went under the slogan: "We want our city to be safe" (as the respond to violent acts between political opponents); during summer organized activity of petition signing against war in Lebanon.

- New local youth clubs founded in Aleksinac, Knjazevac, vrnjacka Banja and Pozega and now they are planning their first local activities.
